NATE FRANZÉN
President, Ag Banking Division
First Dakota National Bank

I'm a highly motivated business executive with a proven record of success in agricultural finance and leadership, and I'm passionate about promoting conditions that can help America's farmers and ranchers survive and prosper.

Having grown up on a farm that was hit hard by the 1980s credit crisis, I'm keenly aware of how banking policy can impact people for good or ill, and I've devoted much of my time as an agricultural banker to helping clients plan wisely for the inevitable swings and surprises in the farm economy.

I've also welcomed numerous opportunities to advise policy makers at the state and federal levels on how to expand opportunity and ensure greater stability in the agricultural sector.

My professional strengths include:

strategic planning,

tactical execution,

executive level leadership,

brand enhancement,

team building,

and regional, national and international public speaking.

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me...is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude..."
